Dear Jacob!

Dear Jacob Arndt,

I understand this may seem odd, but I am you from the future. I am going through all of this trouble to write this letter so I can inform you on a few things. You are not as mature as you will eventually become and because of this I am telling you that you need to stay focused on your studies and worry on the important things. It may not seem like it, but these things make a difference. I figured it would help you more in life if I were to write this letter and tell you these things.

I remember how you feel about school and how you are not exactly to fond of waking up and going, but it will help you in the long run. I know the adults are frequently telling you these things and it kind of just goes in one ear and out the other, but when you are older you will realize that they are just trying to help you succeed in life. I know you are not the best in science and most of the time you don't even study, but you need too. If you know you have a test coming up, why wouldn't you study for this? Why would you let yourself be unprepared for something that will help you achieve a good grade? It does not make sense.

You are sixteen, you only have a couple more years and you will be on your own. It is a lot more stressful than life is now. You will encounter many stressful situations. This is why you must try your best to achieve your goals at a young age. You must continue your studies, stay on track, and most importantly do not give up. This will make sure our future is going to be a good one.

I do not know why I did what I did.
It was my fault,
the fact is, it was simply stupid.
We had spectacular times,
I'm sorry they had to end.
But if we forget about our past,
we could never end.

We will be unstoppable,
no one can break our love.
We would be victorious,
and view the flying doves.
If you take my hand I will never leave,
I promise I will never be so naive.

Love and Compassion

Love is a feeling of deep affection. One could love many things. These things could literally include anything. One could love a person, an animal, or even a material item. This being said, love is a very important emotion for humans. Love can be good, but it can also be hurtful in some ways. For instance if one feels love towards someone or something and they do not feel the emotion. I honestly cannot say I love many things. I take the word serious, this is because this word is meant to be said when one cannot express anyother feeling of happiness. I could easily say that I love my family and of course my wonderful girlfriend. I say this because they simply fill me with joy. I cannot say that I love to many material objects and this is because they cannot fill me with joy like human beings can. Love and compassion is a very strong emotion and I feel as if they should be used wisely.

Rejected by others.

When people are rejected by others, they have a feeling of distress and sometimes it might even be painful to be rejected. Such as in a situation where a man is rejected by different woman countless times, he will feel unwanted and will eventually start to think he is not good enough. These feelings have caused pain, stress, and even suicide. I can not think of any possible solution for this except for us as humans to simply stop rejecting one another, but that can and will not happen. If one does not like another, they will continue to ignore or reject that person. It is simply human nature to feel unwanted in these circumstances  and it is also in human nature to reject people that one does not like, it is an endless situation of distress.

Responsibility

Responsibility is the state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something. This being said, if one was to do something wrong they are to blame and must know they are responsible for their inappropriate behavior. This is relevant towards everyone, even me. Every respectful person should know to be responsible. It's simply the right thing to do. In some cases one might think they are not responsible for something when others think otherwise. The best thing to do is to be as honest as possible. This is the most efficient way for the problem to be solved. Responsibility should be apart of everyone and everyone should be respectful enough to follow this simple procedure. 

Project

Last summer my dad and I were on our boat. While we were on the water, the boat started having problems, so we drove it back to the dock. This is where my dad discovered that there was something wrong with the engine. My dad has been a mechanic all his life, so we thought it would be an easy fix, but surprisingly the damages would cost a great amount of money.

My dad did research and found that it would be less money just to buy another used boat. At this time, he was fascinated with sail boats instead of a power boat, like we had. So he bought a sail boat and we worked on this new boat every weekend until it met our standards. I do not know if this was a good idea, but I will in a couple weeks when we put it on the water.

Exploring the Unknown.

Some brave people throughout the world explore the unknown, because of this we are knowledgeable of what was once considered the unknown. Personally, I think people do this because they are curious of what the unknown may consist of or maybe even because they are eager to learn.

This is a huge accomplishment for anyone who is brave enough to venture on and explore this unknown place. Without people that would do these things, we would simply not be as knowledgeable as we are today. With these explorers, we as humans will continue to learn and advance.

All of these wonderful discoveries are because of curiosity. Curiosity is one of our greatest assets. This has made us explore and settle the world, develop new tools, and even put a man on the moon. This has helped us become the advanced civilization we are today. 

Truth vs. Lies

People in extreme and difficult situations have trouble choosing between lying and telling the truth. The consequences is the key reason why this is so difficult. When I am in a difficult and troublesome situation, I tend to just tell the truth to get the situation done and over with. This might have consequences to me or the people around me, but if they did the right thing, they would not have to worry about the consequence. If people did what they had to do, they would not have to choose between lying and telling the truth, so of course I would do the right thing and tell the truth.

My high school experience.

During my high school experience I have encountered academic struggles, accomplishments, and aspirations. I want to succeed in life and to do this, I have to graduate high school. This would be the easiest start for me to be successful. I want my high school experience to fulfill my goals, but also be enjoyable. So far Early 

College is helping me greatly with this. 

Just like every other student, I have academic struggles. My academic struggles mostly consist of my procrastination. I procrastinate when it comes to subjects that I do not like, such as science. I do not comprehend science very well. That is why I do not enjoy the subject. I find it frustrating that even when I study, I do not comprehend the subject, so when I have an assignment in science, I procrastinate when 

doing it. 

As well as having struggles, I also have accomplishments. Some of these consist of being organized or even simply doing my homework. My favorite subject is English. This is because I love to write, learn more about how to improve my writing. and I love learning new words to include in my writing. I hope these things will make me an excellent writer and help my grade point average and ultimately help me graduate. 

My academic aspirations are my goals. As well as every other caring student, to graduate is a huge goal of mine. In order to have a descent career I must graduate with a descent grade point average. My second aspiration is to have a descent grade point average by the time I graduate. In order to do this, I must study more than I do now, which might be a struggle for me since I like to procrastinate, but compared to freshman year, I have greatly matured which makes me more eager to stop procrastinating. 

I hope to fulfill all of these goals and graduate Early College. This is my most important goal, which of course should be. I want my struggles to become aspirations and my aspirations to become accomplishments. If this happens I should be expecting a happy life ahead of me.

Bullying

Bullying is a problem throughout the lives of teenagers throughout the world. It is becoming something serious and has made many teenagers commit suicide or even take the lives of others. I do not know why people waste their own time to hurt others physically or even mentally. It is extremely unnecessary. I understand that some people do not get along with each other, but they should not do these things to each other. Cyber-bullying is becoming just as serious as any other type of bullying. It is spread throughout social media such as Twitter and Facebook. I find it ridiculous that people would bully another over social media. Even if someone is being bullied online, they can easily "block" the bully and not have to care what that person is saying about them. If they continue to bully, the one being bullied has to either stand up for themselves or inform an adult about what is happening. Honestly, I would not intervene with the conflict, unless the one being bullied is a friend or even acquaintance of mine. If it was a stranger, I would not include myself with the conflict. This is because I do not know the reason why they are being bullied. The only way I would intervene with the strangers conflict is if I see the conflict occurring countless times, then I would tell the bully to stop with the conflicts. Bullying is not right, I would never bully someone, I feel like people do it because they feel as if they are better than the person being bullied. Even if they think this, they are wrong. Everyone has something that they excel at and it is their job to find out what this may be. People should never feel as if they are better than someone. This causes conflicts, such as bullying.

Belongings

If someone buys something or is given something, that object is yours and no one has the right to take that object away. Unless of course, that object is given away. If someone takes something that does not belong to them, the owner of that object should be able to defend themselves and not let there belongings to be taken from them. I would personally fight for anything that is being taken away from me. Even if everyone was assertive, we would still have this problem. This is because some people are more powerful than others or at least view themselves as being more powerful and because of this they feel as if they have more control over others. That is why we have this problem, I do not think people will stop, but that does not mean we can not fight for what is ours.

Helpful people.

Many people in the world risk their lives to help others, while other people prefer to save their own lives over others. The people that help others are called heroes. In my opinion, people help others because they feel as if it is the right thing to do and they would want someone to help them if they were in danger. People who do not prefer to help others are either cowardly or have more important manners at hand. I am sure there are more reasons for these actions, but i stated the most general reasons. During my lifetime, I want to be considered a hero. I do not want to be considered cowardly. I want to be able to help others that are struggling. This is one of the many reasons why I chose to pursue the career of becoming a police officer. I feel as if, without courageous people, people would become less unified and have to become more self reliant. This would change things drastically, and it would make lives extremely harder.

My Grandfather.

If I could see anyone right now, it would be my grandfather. I choose him because he died when I was young and I never got to have a conversation with him. My grandfather is my dad's father. He was in the Navy and grew up in Beria, just as my father did. If I could speak to him, I would ask him many questions. I would ask him about his life, what types of jobs hes had, what he did in the Navy, why he moved out of Beria, etc. I would like to join the Navy, like my dad and grandfather. I want to experience what they experienced. I didn't know my grandfather very well, but I still miss him and he is the person who comes to mind when I am asked this question.
